We are leaving the island on the 30th so only a week left, however we are going on Tour to the Algarve just for 4 weeks before we go home for christmas.

Talking of christmas, at the end of every season every one has a party to celebrate and this year we decided that as we have become a family we’d have a christmas. It was fantastic!! Kellie made christmas dinner, Andy and I were on the table committee, Liam and Alex were on the decorations committee and Richard handled drinks! We all had a wonderful day apart from we had things sent from home but they have only just arrived due to the post strike at home which means we are now up to our eyes in mince pies. Never mind though, there are worse situations to find yourself.

Andy and Kellie have found out they are off to Cyprus for the winter, we are all dreading saying goodbye to them, they have become such good friends and we will miss them terribly.

After a season of taking photos, we are now in the process of making that collage. It will be going in the library and i’ll post a photo of it when it’s on the wall. I’ve tried to make sure you’re all on there, We have over 200 photos in it so far. Can’t wait to see it finished…

Well i better go and carry on packing…. it’s not a small job. Costumes, props and don’t get me started on my dresses! Nightmare. But it has to be done and we only have a week to do it. (so much to do….i wanted to squeeze in Reids again!)

P.s Oh i almost forgot. Bad News….yesterday at the departure meeting, Hayley smashed the china cup. It was a sad night for us all and feels like the end of an era. I’m off to hunt for another today because we’re using my “i’d rather be buying shoes” cup at the moment and it doesn’t seem to have the same effect.

Anyone who has just left us will have no doubt been here while we had a visit from Olympic swimmer Mark Foster and i’m sure you’d all vouch for me when i say My my he’s fit! (psychically of course) I’ve never seen people move on their sunbeds as fast as when Mark went to dive in our pool. It was a pleasure to have him here as he is such a nice guy.

Also on Sunday we’ve just had our Charity day, we hosted a summer Fete outside the Magnolia and we had a wonderful time. We had  guess Marco’s middle name competition, cake stalls and a tombola just to name a few! Oh if you’re wondering Marco’s middle name should have been Orinoco but no one picked it so it turned out to be Prince.  We also discovered on this day just how at home on a tombola Liam is…. honestly if anyone saw him you’d think he grew up on a market stall!

Can’t believe that Team Madeira only have just over 6 weeks together. It’s flying by. John and Hayley have both found out where they are going next year….i’m sure they won’t mind me saying.

John is off to enjoy home for winter and then flying back to Madeira again next summer and Hayley is off to Cyprus for the winter and then going to Rhodes for next summer. So a huge congratulations from me (and i’m sure you) for that. They both deserve  fantastic careers.

As for us…. as you know it’s a little different and we have to wait a little longer so we don’t know what we’re doing yet. We do know that we’ll all be home for Christmas which is fantastic news!!

First i must apologise about the delay in posting photos. I am having problems uploading them and i’m not sure why so please bare with me and i’ll have them on here as soon as i can.

Ok, now onto the news….
Princess Madge has had the operation…Thank you to all who donated to her fund. She is doing well and still catching lizards.
After her op she came to stay with Richard, Alex and myself and settled into home life as you can see by the photos here.

Richard is no longer a teenager, he turned 20 on Sunday! So Happy Birthday Richard!!

We can’t believe that we are now over half way through our season. It won’t seem long now and Team Madeira will all be back at home (feeling the cold).
You’ll be pleased to hear that i haven’t bought any shoes for a few weeks….however i do have my eye on several pairs. I’m thinking about winter now and as much as i like cream suede, British weather doesn’t so i must be sensible.

Well, i better sign off. It’s gala night tonight which means we’ll be putting on our best dresses again (that includes the boys) and heading up to the roof.
I hope you are all having a lovely summer, with plenty of sunshine and of course lots of pineapple.

It’s been quite a morning here at the Savoy Gardens. Splash and Dash was suddenly hijacked by some Production team impostors… Limon (Liam’s Twin) and Adelphi (my twin)!

They were part of a team called Thomson Black (as they were in their newly won Thomson Gold Polo shirts). Marco of course joined in Splash and Dash, and as he has been kitted out with shorts and some dreadlocks, he certainly looked the part. This week his outfits have been getting more and more elaborate, starting with Nun’s robes for his outing to Nun’s Valley and then of course his swim wear. He also has a woolly hat and some beads for a casual look. He will need a wardrobe if he carries on at this rate!

Anyone who was here last week to witness Roberto and Ricky K’s affair will be happy to hear that Roberto has just about recovered, however not for long as Ricky is back next week….

As for all of the team, we are very excited to say the Whitehouse is open again after their two week holiday… and the tans are getting better and better.

Oh we can’t not mention our first honeymoon couple at the Savoy Gardens, Jen & Stu! Such a lovely couple and completely made for each other. Good luck in that Scrabble tournament Stu!

Well, hope you’re having a wonderful summer. Have a BBQ for me, i fancy a BBQ…. Oh Reids do one but it’s 68 euros per person which is one expensive burger!

The weather here is getting hotter now, but as always i am still as white as the day i arrived.. However the team have a deal that the most tanned member takes the whitest member out for dinner, so i’m personally looking forward to that meal as safe to say i will still be the whitest then. In the running for the most tanned it’s between Andy & Liam who are both sporting lovely colours.

If you have just arrived back home after your holiday with us, then i hope all the washing is done…(worst part of going home…) and i hope you had a good time in Madeira and at the Savoy Gardens. Don’t forget to have a look at the photos and if there are any you don’t see there (hopefully i’ve uploaded all of them) then just let me know and i’ll email them to you.

As it’s Thursday i’m going to get myself ready for the Managers cocktail… hopefully it won’t be too windy for my dress. As always think of us when you see a Tesco…

Also very excited to say that Ricky K (our comedian this Week) is very eager to get a real pineapple into his act this evening! We love anyone that is as mad as us!

But, for now i’d better go and finish my screens for this evening. I’m relived to say that after a very long run of the men winning everything. Ange won Horse Shoe Toss. It’s a good job too, as all the men were getting a little too big for their boots….

mmm and maybe it’s time for another cup of tea… i’ve just finished a good cup of PG tips in my “I’d rather be Buying shoes” mug and i think it needs a refill. I definitely must buy a teapot.

P.s Mike and Eileen, hope you’re having a good time at wimbledon.

We have come up with a plan though, next time you come over to us, instead of sleeping in the alcoves, you can sleep in our (unfinished) house. You know the one i mean, it’s behind the hotel. Anyway the only condition of staying in our house is that you have to decorate as you go. Kenny has agreed to do the plastering and the roof so we still need someone to build some interior walls!

By this time next year it would be beautiful!!

Well as promised here are the results of Justin’s Makeover.
He still hasn’t had his eyebrows done yet but this is a work in progress (he’s scared of the tweezers)!
However, he is now the proud owner of some black shoes and a belt which he wears with his uniform and as you can see on the photo a brand new suit!
I just need to do daywear now…..
